She had gone with Eppie to work again, and to Eppie’s Mom’s house for a couple of days. Biwan was with her.
While Windy plopped herself in a chair, Luke pulled out a book to show her.
But it didn’t have a lot of pictures for Biwan to look at!
So Luke put it back.
Then he found a big picture book.
Luke: “wouldn’t this be the perfect house to live in some day?”

Luke found a new friend to keep him company.

At first, the family was too busy sharing books and snuggles to care:
But, finally, Windy had to get up and whip the house into shape (with some not-so-grudging help from Luke!), so that books and snuggles could be resumed with peaceful minds:
…well, and Windy needed to find Biwan’s bottle!…
Eppie: “but don’t you like Biwan’s new bonnet, Luke?”
Luke: “just go away, Eppie!”
Luke: “…but the bonnet IS great!…”
